Diagnosis

Female flagellum ± flattened and stout, flagellomeres with anterior margin ± straight (i.e. not narrowed off); footpads enlarged (frequently shrivelled-up on dried specimens); malar sulcus missing; female vertex and upper frons in same plane; thoracic dorsum weakly convex, almost flat; scutellum transverse, 0.8X as long as wide; mesoscutum and scutellum with engraved reticulation; propodeum with two large anterolateral foveae. Similar to carballoi, but differs in having vertex and upper frons in same plane, and scape more stout.

Distribution

Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago.

Biology

Parasite in eggs of Microctenochira fraterna, Microctenochira sp. and Xenocassis ambita (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae).
